Um eine flächenhafte, ganz Deutschland gleichmäßig abdeckende Darstellung zu erhalten, wurde die (mittlere) Anzahl der heißen Tage je Kalenderjahr aller nutzbaren Stationen mit statistischen Verfahren auf eine Gitterstruktur mit 1-km-Raster übertragen.
