With the BGR Geoportal, national and international geospecialist data from the fields of soil, geochemistry, geology, geophysics, groundwater and raw materials as well as BGR scientific publications can be searched, viewed and downloaded. For this purpose, the geoportal is divided into a search and a viewing component. The search contains information (metadata) on data sets that are created and maintained by the various BGR departments. The BGR products essentially cover the topics of geology, geophysics, soil science, mineral and energy resources as well as groundwater and engineering geology. With the viewer, the geodata services offered by the BGR of various map bases from several subject areas can be viewed and combined with each other. In addition, the geodata for the maps or sections of the current representation can be downloaded if interested.
