HYDABA - Umweltrelevante gewässerkundliche Datenbank
Die bei der Bundesanstalt für Gewässerkunde geführte Datenbank besteht aus einem Wassermengen- und einem vom UBA finanzierten Wasserqualitätsteil (HYDABA II). Die HYDABA II enthält Einzeldaten zur Wasserbeschaffenheit von Oberflächengewässern. Mit Hilfe dieser Daten werden Jahresberichte und Zahlentafeln der Internationalen Kommission zum Schutze des Rheins erstellt und Anfragen von Verwaltungen sowie von wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen im In- und Ausland beantwortet. Das UBA nutzt die Daten für Veröffentlichungen (z. B. Daten zur Umwelt). Der Datenbestand der HYDABA II beträgt ca. 259.000 Datensätze (Stand 2003) mit einem jährlichen Zuwachs von ca. 10.000.
