- Description

The Norwegian contribution to the ERM database has been derived mainly from the official Norwegian topographic databases ‘N250 Kartdata’ and ‘N50 Kartadata’ (topologically structured vector datasets at nominal scale 1:250 000 and 1:50 000 respectively). Also other external sources have been used to complement, as for example The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Norwegian Coastal Administration and Statistics Norway (the national statistical institute of Norway).
The geometry of the sources has in some cases been generalized, and attributes have been combined or summarized where necessary.
The ERM dataset has been derived by converting the national data to ERM using extraction and conversion rules, which are determined by the ERM specifications.
