EuroRegionalMap country contribution provides a geographic database for topographic data that will be maintained at the source level by the National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies (NMCAs), and by providing harmonized access conditions within the framework of EuroGeographics.

Description

The Cypriot contribution to the ERM database was mainly derived from the Official Topographic Database of the Cyprus Land Information System (LIS).


The LIS databases store vector information at several scales and in a variety of resolutions and accuracy.


The Cypriot ERM dataset was derived from several sources, which include existing topographic maps (scales 1:5000, 1:7500, 1:50000, 1:100000, 1:250000, 1:350000 etc), cadastral plans (scales 1:500, 1:1000, 1:1250, 1:2000, 1:2500, and 1:5000 ), aerial photographs and satellite imagery.
