Einwohner NRW - Online-Rechner
Der interaktive Kartendienst „Einwohner NRW - Online-Rechner“ ermöglicht die Schätzung der Einwohnerzahl für frei wählbare Regionen in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Grundlage sind georeferenzierte Bevölkerungszahlen des Zensus 2011 für Nordrhein-Westfalen. Die Anwendung basiert auf einer Rasterkarte, in der die Bevölkerung Nordrhein-Westfalens in Gitterzellen der Größe von einem Hektar (100 m x 100 m) visualisiert wird. Nutzerinnen und Nutzer können in der Karte den Bereich markieren, für den sie die Einwohnerzahl näherungsweise berechnen lassen wollen. Dafür werden verschiedene Auswahl-Werkzeuge (Kreis, Rechteck bzw. Polygonzüge) angeboten. Neben der geschätzten Einwohnerzahl wird auch die Fläche der betrachteten Region ausgegeben.
