ERM Guadeloupe is derived from the French BDUni database, which stores multi-theme data at both large and medium scales.
The general method used to produce ERM is as follows:
(+) Select the data needed for ERM – this data has to be suitable for the 1:250,000 scale, and has to fulfil the selection criteria of the ERM specifications.
(+) Combine data coming from different layers of the source database, to create the required feature classes in ERM.
(+) Populate the ERM attributes.
(+) Ensure that the data is correctly edge-matched with the neighbouring countries.
(+) Generalize the data to fit the ERM scale.
