Dürreatlas

Das Phänomen der Dürre ist komplex und wird bedingt durch diverse Faktoren. Um sie differenziert betrachten zu können, sind raumbezogene Informationen notwendig. Unterschiedliche Institutionen veröffentlichen regelmäßig digitale Geoinformationen zu Klima und Umweltthemen. Diese stehen in den meisten Fällen jedoch für sich und werden über jeweils eigene Kanäle publiziert.

Mit dem Dürreatlas werden Informationen zu Bodenfeuchte, Niederschlag, Wind, Pegelstände, Hitze u. v. m. zusammengeführt und zentral zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Nutzerinnen und Nutzer haben die Möglichkeit, mit Hilfe interaktiver Funktionen die Datensätze einzeln oder in Kombination zu analysieren.

Durch die Darstellung in einer gemeinsamen Kartenanwendung können so Synergien entstehen und neue Erkenntnisse gewonnen werden. Der Dürreatlas verleiht den einzelnen Datensätzen damit einen deutlichen Mehrwert. Durch das breite Spektrum an Informationen über längere Zeiträume hinweg können Entwicklungsverläufe und Trends erkannt und passende Handlungsmaßnahmen abgeleitet werden.
