The Switzerland contribution to EBM 2021 is derived from the dataset swissTLM Regio Topic Administrative Boundaries which contains the administrative boundaries of CH and LI at small scale (1:200’000) in vector format. The geometry of the source dataset was not generalized for EBM. A transformation from Swiss National Coordinates into GCS_ETRS_1989 coordinates has been done.
swissTLM Regio Topic Administrative Boundaries is based on the dataset TLM (Topographisches Landesmodell) which is updated with information from the Cadastral Surveying. The geometry of TLM is generalized with help of the other Topics of swissTLM Regio such as Transportation and Hydrography. The semantic (administrative) information is updated with mutations of the Cadastral Surveying and the Swiss Federal Statistical Office. swissTLM Regio Topic Administrative Boundaries is updated annually.
