Waldbrandatlas

Der digitale Waldbrandatlas zeigt aktuelle Gefährdungsstufen, Brände, Waldflächen, Wind- und Niederschlagsvorhersagen, Wasserreservoire zum Auffüllen der Löschfahrzeuge, Rettungspunkte für Wanderer, Hubschrauberlandeplätze, militärische Altlastengebiete und vieles mehr. Dazu kann eine „normale“ Karte mit amtlichen Daten des BKG wie zum Beispiel Straßen und Gebäuden eingeblendet werden und so den Lageüberblick abrunden. Das Tool basiert u. a. auf Satelliteninformationen des europäischen Copernicus-Programms und der NASA und auf Daten des Deutschen Wetterdienstes. Die momentane Variante des Waldbrandatlasses ist responsiv und passt sich der Bildschirmgröße an.
