These data include the subset used by IPCC AR6 WGI authors of the datasets originally published in ESGF for 'CMIP6.CMIP.MPI-M.ICON-ESM-LR' with the full Data Reference Syntax following the template 'mip_era.activity_id.institution_id.source_id.experiment_id.member_id.table_id.variable_id.grid_label.version'. The ICON-ESM-LR climate model, released in 2017, includes the following components: aerosol: none, prescribed MACv2-SP, atmos: ICON-A (icosahedral/triangles; 160 km; 47 levels; top level 80 km), land: JSBACH4.20, landIce: none/prescribed, ocean: ICON-O (icosahedral/triangles; 40 km; 40 levels; top grid cell 0-12 m), ocnBgchem: HAMOCC, seaIce: unnamed (thermodynamic (Semtner zero-layer) dynamic (Hibler 79) sea ice model). The model was run by the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, Hamburg 20146, Germany (MPI-M) in native nominal resolutions: aerosol: 250 km, atmos: 250 km, land: 250 km, landIce: none, ocean: 50 km, ocnBgchem: 50 km, seaIce: 50 km.

Air pressure at sea level is the quantity often abbreviated as MSLP or PMSL. Air pressure is the force per unit area which would be exerted when the moving gas molecules of which the air is composed strike a theoretical surface of any orientation. "Mean sea level" means the time mean of sea surface elevation at a given location over an arbitrary period sufficient to eliminate the tidal signals. [CF-Standard Name]; unit: Pa

Sea surface temperature is usually abbreviated as "SST". It is the temperature of sea water near the surface (including the part under sea-ice, if any), and not the skin temperature, whose standard name is surface_temperature. For the temperature of sea water at a particular depth or layer, a data variable of sea_water_temperature with a vertical coordinate axis should be used. [CF-Standard Name]; unit: degC

Carbon Mass Flux out of Atmosphere Due to Gross Primary Production on Land
Comment: The rate of synthesis of biomass from inorganic precursors by autotrophs ('producers') expressed as the mass of carbon which it contains. For example, photosynthesis in plants or phytoplankton. The producers also respire some of this biomass and the difference is referred to as the net primary production.
