Ergebnisse der Überwachung der Radonkonzentration in der Freiluft (Messwerte)

Die Daten zeigen die Mittelwerte aus drei Jahresmessungen (2003-2006) der Konzentration des radioaktiven Edelgases Radon-222 in der Freiluft in 1,5 m Höhe.

Radon-222 ist ein farb-, geruch- und geschmackloses radioaktives Edelgas. Es ist natürlichen Ursprungs und wird vor allem aus dem Erdboden und aus Baumaterialien freigesetzt. Auf diesem Weg gelangt es in die freie Atmosphäre oder in die Innenraumluft von Gebäuden. (Fünf bis zehn Prozent aller Lungenkrebserkrankungen der Bevölkerung werden nach aktuellen Forschungsergebnissen der Belastung durch Radon-222 und seine Zerfallsprodukte in Gebäuden zugeschrieben)
