NSG -Peetschsee-

Grösse ca. 115 ha, nährstoffarmes, saures Gewässer mit einzigartiger Moosvegetation. Entstehung durch Einbettung eines Toteisblocks in einem Sander der letzetn Eiszeit.

Ein ca. 11m tiefer Kesses weist keine Verbindung zun Grundwasser auf. Bis in 8 m Tiefe grossflächig mit Braunmoosgrundrasen besiedelt, an die sich bis rd. 10 m Tiefe Torfmoosgrundrasen anschließt. Gegenüber Eutrophierung sehr empfindlich, heute im mittleren westlichen Europa ausgestorbene Vegetation.
