ZEMA - Zentrale Melde- und Auswertestelle für Störfälle und Störungen in verfahrenstechnischen Anlagen
Im Jahr 1993 hat die ZEMA im Umweltbundesamt ihre Arbeit aufgenommen. In der ZEMA werden alle nach der Störfall-Verordnung (12. BImSchV) meldepflichtigen Ereignisse erfasst, ausgewertet und in Jahresberichten veröffentlicht. Die meldepflichtigen Ereignisse werden entsprechend ihrem Gefahrenpotential in Störfälle und in Störungen des bestimmungsgemäßen Betriebs unterteilt. Die systematische Erfassung und Auswertung der Ereignisse soll Erkenntnisse liefern, die als wichtige Grundlage einer Weiterentwicklung des Standes der Sicherheitstechnik dienen. Im Zeitraum von 1980 bis 2002 wurden in der Datenbank der ZEMA 392 Ereignisse aus Deutschland registriert. Statistische Auswertungen liegen für den Zeitraum von 1991-2001 vor und sind im Internet zugänglich.
