Kreis Herford: Wasserschutzgebiete

Wasserschutzgebiete (WSG) sind Gebiete, in denen zum Schutz von Gewässern vor schädlichen Einflüssen besondere Ge- und Verbote gelten. In Wasserschutzgebieten bestehen besondere Nutzungsbeschränkungen für die Bebauung, die Bodennutzung und den Umgang mit wassergefährdenden Stoffen, um Brunnen, die der öffentlichen Trinkwasserversorgung dienen, zu schützen. Die Risiken für das Trinkwasser sind je nach Entfernung zum Brunnen und Wirksamkeit der Deckschichten unterschiedlich groß. Je weiter eine Fläche vom Brunnen entfernt ist, desto geringer sind meist die Einschränkungen der Nutzungen.
