Die geowissenschaftliche Spezialbibliothek im Geozentrum Hannover gehört mit über 350.000 Bänden, 73.000 Karten und 1.400 laufenden Zeitschriften international zu den größten ihrer Art. Sie ist als Magazinbibliothek organisiert und nimmt zugleich die Funktion des wissenschaftlichen Archivs wahr, wobei sie mehr als 150.000 unveröffentlichte Dokumente zur Nutzung bereithält. Der Bibliothekskatalog ist online erreichbar und enthält über eine Million Datensätze.
