Daten zur Umwelt (DzU)

In DzU werden Umweltinformationen dokumentiert und bereitgestellt. Diese stammen aus der amtlichen Umweltstatistik (UStatG), aus der Verwaltungsvereinbarung über den Datenaustausch im Umweltbereich (VwV Datenaustausch) sowie aus Beobachtungsprogrammen und F+E-Vorhaben und werden für die Umweltberichterstattung aufbereitet. DzU stellt eine einheitliche Informations- und Datengrundlage für die nationale und internationale Umweltberichterstattung sicher. DzU verwaltet Berichtselemente (Texte, Tabellen und Grafiken ) und verweist auf die Quellen, die Rechtsgrundlagen sowie auf Umweltziele der Beiträge. Diese sind nach einem Umweltthemenkatalog gegliedert, der nach dem internationalen DPSIR-Berichtsansatz geordnete Wirkungsbeziehungen beinhaltet. Rechtliche Grundlagen für die nationale und internationale Umweltberichterstattung bilden §11 des Umweltinformationsgesetzes (UIG), die EU-Informationsrichtlinie sowie das Übereinkommen über den Zugang zu elektronisch verfügbaren Umweltinformationen (Århus-Konvention).
