Elektronische Navigationskarten für Binnenschifffahrtsstraßen werden in Deutschland von der Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsverwaltung des Bundes (WSV) hergestellt und herausgegeben und kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt. Die herausgegebenen Inland-ENCs werden in regelmäßigen Abständen überarbeitet.
