Umweltzone

Zur Verbesserung der Luftqualität in Städten und Gemeinden wurden durch die Regierungspräsidien etwa 30 Luftreinhaltepläne erarbeitet, die Maßnahmen für eine bessere Luft enthalten. Dazu gehört unter anderem auch die Ausweisung von Umweltzonen verbunden mit Verkehrsverboten für Fahrzeuge mit hohem Schadstoffausstoß. Zwischenzeitlich wurden eine Reihe grüner Umweltzonen aufgehoben.
