2-1/2010 Küstenlängen Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Die Küste M-Vs weist gegenwärtig eine Länge von insgesamt 1.945 km auf. Bezogen auf die 2.582 km lange Gesamtlänge der deutschen Ostseeküste entspricht dies 75 %. Die verbleibenden 25 % (637 km) zählen zum Küstengebiet des Bundeslandes Schleswig-Holstein. Durch die Herausbildung einer Ausgleichsküste ist die Küste von M-V überwiegend durch eine zum offenen Meer exponierte Außenküste und eine vom offenen Meer zunehmend abgeriegelte, stärker gegliederte Binnenküste, regional Boddenküste bzw. Haffküste genannt, gekennzeichnet.
