Ergebnis des Interreg-Projekt „BalticClimate“ - „Herausforderungen und Chancen für die lokale und regionale Entwicklung durch den Klimawandel im Ostseeraum“

Projektlaufzeit:

- März 2009 bis Dezember 2011

Projektpartner:

- 25 Projektpartner aus 8 Staaten

- Projektleitung: Akademie für Raumforschung und Landesplanung/ Hannover

- Deutsche Modellregion Westmecklenburg:

o Koordination durch den Regionalen Planungsverband Westmecklenburg

o Assoziierter Partner UNESCO Biosphärenreservat Schaalsee

Projektschwerpunkte:

- Identifizierung der Auswirkungen, Risiken und Chancen (Wirtschaft) des Klimawandels in den

Modelregionen (u. a. Westmecklenburg)

- thematische Schwerpunkte in den Bereichen Verkehr, Landwirtschaft, Energie und Bebauung

- BalticClimate wurde als „Flagship Project“ ausgewählt, da es sich im Rahmen der Strategie für die Baltic Sea

Region mit der zukünftig nachhaltigen Entwicklung im Ostseeraum beschäftigt
