WMS Baumart (NLP)
Klassifikation der Baumart Stand 2015 für sämtliche Baumindividuen mit Wuchshöhe >15m. Die Klassen sind Fichte, Tanne, Kiefer, Lärche, Douglasie, Laubbaum (unspezifiziert) und stehendes Totholz.
Die flächendeckende Kenntnis der Baumart eines jeden Baumindividuums mit einer Wuchshöhe von >15m ist eine im Vergleich zur in der Forstwirtschaft üblichen über statistische Verfahren geschätzten Baumartenverteilung für größere Flächeneinheiten erheblich genauere Information. Diese höhere Genauigkeit ermöglicht die Ableitung einer Vielzahl von räumlichen Analysen in einer bislang ungewohnten räumlichen Exaktheit, wie z.B. Habitatseignungskarten für bestimmten Tierarten. In Kombination mit der Waldstruktur und Vegetationshöhendaten aus den Folgejahren ermöglicht diese Baumartenklassifikation ein auf Einzelbäumen basiertes Monitoring der natürlichen Waldentwicklung.
