EuroBoundaryMap country dataset provides a geographic database for administrative and statistical regions that will be maintained at the source level by the National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies (NMCAs), and by providing harmonized access conditions for this geographic information within the framework of EuroGeographics.

Description: CAOP represents the Administrative boundaries of Portugal - the lowest levels (freguesias), the intermediary levels (municípios), the highest levels (districts) and the state border, in hierachial form.That boundaries derived from a base of boundaries obtained from Census 2001, from the vectorization of the boundaries existing in cadastral sheets in paper and from legal decrees. The precision of CAOP is associated with the precision of its sources, being this equal or superior to the precision of the scale 1:25 000.
