3D Mesh Modell der Stadt Braunschweig

Das 3D-Mesh ist eine zusammenhängende Kombination aus Geländeoberfläche mitsamt Objekten wie Häusern, Bäumen, Autos und wird deshalb auch als Digitales texturiertes Oberflächenmodell bezeichnet. Es besteht aus einer Vermaschung eines geschlossenen, texturierten Polygonnetzes (Gitternetz) auf der Datengrundlage von Punktwolken und Schrägluftbildern.

Das 3D-Mesh repräsentiert eine Momentaufnahme einer realitätsgetreuen Abbildung eines Betrachtungsraumes, welcher sich auf ganze Städte, Kreise und Bundesländer erstrecken kann. Es ist eine mögliche Darstellungsvariante eines 3D-Stadtmodells.

Das 3D-Mesh hat die Aktualität, in der die Daten aus den Bildflügen abgeleitet werden - aktuell aus dem Bildflug 2023.
