Dieser WMS stellt das Informationssystem Geologische Karte von Nordrhein-Westfalen 1:50.000 [IS GK 50] dar. Das Kartenwerk basiert auf den Ergebnissen der integrierten geologischen Landesaufnahme (IGL). Der Datensatz ist im Aufbau und nicht flächendeckend. Dargestellte Kartenthemen: Basisdaten; Geologische Detaildarstellung inklusive Haupt- und Deckschichten, Tektonik sowie künstlich veränderten Flächen; Geologische Schnitte; Präquartärer Untergrund; Quartär-Basis und -Mächtigkeit.
