Sentinel-1 Daten Schleswig-Holstein

Sentinel-1 Satelliten liefern Aufnahmen im C-Band Radarbereich, was einer Wellenlänge von 5,5 cm entspricht. Aufgrund der großen Wellenlänge und des aktiven Aussendens der Radarstrahlen, liefern die Satelliten Aufnahmen unabhängig vom Wetter und der Tageszeit. Dadurch und mit einer Abtastbreite von 250 km sind sie gut geeignet, um Wasser- bzw. Hochwasserflächen zu detektieren, was mittels der temporären Wasserflächen im Copernicus-Portal abgebildet wird.
